Breeding the chia variety ORURO – the first chia variety with ability to grow in France and Europe.
Panam/Agrofün started focusing in developing chia seeds production and application in France. Chia seed are a valuable new superfood with a wide variety of possible application. Being a unique and renewable source of Omega 3, chia seed are considered to become an important raw ingredient in the near future as it can benefit the entire population and in particular the Silver economy. Panam/Agrofün is already the is the first producer in Europe with increasing levels of demand for this new product, building a new local and high value chain named Chia de France and embarking producers, transformators and distributors of every kind.
